2012 Special Election Announcement


APAS currently has 2 vacant seats for the following positions on the Executive Committee: The 1st Vice Chair and 2nd Vice Chair. Anyone who is a paid member by December 30, 2011 is eligible to run for any of the two positions. Only Paid Members (those who pay their membership dues by Jan 21, 2012) will be eligible to cast their votes in person at the time of election.

Election will be done on January 21st, 2012 at the 2012 General Membership Dinner Party.

    Fun Time at Children Christmas Party 2011


    Lots of fun and lots of activities for those 71 kids and 62 parents that came to the party!

    This party is to benefit our children and expose them to the rich asian culture. This year, we invited our members' children, friends and supporters.

    Thank you to our event chair:Barbara Weaver and co-chair: Sokhoeun Chau for organizing such a fun time for the kids.

    Thank you to all the volunteers and performers who made this event successful. To name a few:

    The Asian Heritage Festival is held each Spring. This year the festival took place at Audubon Zoo and was a great success!

    Thanks to a generous donation of land by Ms. Sudaporn Boonmonthira, plans are underway to build the center at 6245 Wainwright Drive, across from the UNO Campus.
